Key Features
There is a large supermarket (keen prices) near the villa and some bars and restaurants. However, the small town of Los Montesinos is also very accessible, being only a 10 to 15 minute walk away. Here you will find a great variety of bars, cafés, restaurants, shops and supermarkets (24-hr. shopping available here). The El Paso bar/restaurant is greatly recommended, offering a wide variety of entertainment (not to mention their wonderful cold beer!). If you are feeling energetic, there is a gym in the centre too.
The villa is situated within a 15 minute drive of some of the best beaches on the Southern Costa Blanca; Guardamar, for instance, with its miles and miles of white sand and Torrevieja with its quaint coves.
The towns of Torrevieja, Quesada and Guardamar are all within a 15 minutes drive, where you have an abundance of shops and restaurants - catering for all tastes.
If you are a keen golfer, then the renowned La Finca Golf Course is only a 10 minute drive away and there are a number of prime courses within a 30 minute drive (more specific details will be provided on application).
All in all, this area is very well served for restaurants, bars and nightlife. For additional fun, there are 2 aquaparks and 2 go-karting tracks within a 20 minute drive.
A little further afield (within 30-40 minutes drive) are the more cultural experiences of Elche, Orihuela and Santa Pola, with their history, museums and visitor attractions.

Los Montesinos
Los Montesinos - Costa Blanca Lying just north of the Torrevieja salt lake, Los Montesinos is one of the Vega Baja villages of the Southern Costa Blanca. Located in the Alicante province within the Communidad de Valencia, it is a village with a more modern feel than many of the surrounding villages. The weather in Los Montesinos is mostly sunny and dry and this region of Spain enjoys hot summers and mild winters making it an ideal year round climate The history of Los Montesinos goes back to Roman times and remains of a Roman village have been found that link to the ancient Roman road which runs through the village. The Via Augusta would have been the most important road in Spain during the Roman occupation although it is somewhat uninspiring today, looking much like any other road. Over many centuries Los Montesinos has depended mostly on agriculture for its survival, but in recent years the modern invasion of tourism and property development seems to have taken over in importance. The village is still, however surrounded by mile upon mile of orange and lemon groves. New development of properties has brought more wealth and status to Los Montesinos and has resulted in a sizable ex-pat community in the village. Even so the old Spanish traditions have not been lost and the old mingles with the new giving Los Montesinos a warm and friendly feel. Located on the CV-945 just inland from Torrevieja, it is easily accessed from the AP-7 motorway junctions 751 or 754.
